Background

At present, this is the only seven star hotel in the world. It is the tallest building used exclusively as a hotel. It is managed by the Jumeirah Group and was built by Said Khalil.The concept architect was Tom Wright of WS Atkins PLC.

Construction of this marvel began in 1994.It ended in 1999.The king of Dubai envisioned and wanted the structure to be a symbolic statement for Dubai, like Opera House for Sydney , Eiffel Tower for Paris ,etc.
